Identifying the Vowels in Your Name
If you already know all the vowels in your name then you may skip straight to calculating your soul urge number below, otherwise if English isn’t your first language then keep reading. This isn’t supposed to be a complete English lesson, so we’ll simply cover the basics to help you determine whether to count the letter ‘y’ as a vowel in your name. Wherever there is a syllable, there’s a vowel. For example, in the words “try” and “my” you can tell right away that the letter ‘y’ is a vowel in both cases. In addition, ‘y’ also acts as a vowel in words where it makes out the vowel sound in the syllable. Words such as, “sorry”, “berry”, “very”, and “scary”. So, if your name for example is, Larry, Jerry, Yvonne, or Sharyn then you would count ‘Y’ as a vowel
However, ‘y’ is not a vowel in words such as “yes”, “yell”, “year”, or “yolk” because of the presence of another vowel whose sound makes it a syllable. With this basic lesson you should be able to determine whether or not to count the letter ‘y’ as a vowel. If you need additional help, then I urge you to seek a more complete lesson. If you are ready, then you may proceed below to calculate your soul urge number.

1 + 1 + 9 + 5 + 6 + 5 + 6 = 33 (Remember that if you end up with master numbers 11 or 22 don’t reduce.)
