Hopefully, you are working with and taking full advantage of your life path number. However, it’s time you added another number to your arsenal. With that said, some of you have probably realized that some things about your life path number don’t describe you well. That is to say, some of the things said fit you well but some were completely off. Now, to help with these inaccuracies you need to factor in your destiny number (sometimes called your expression number). To clarify, your destiny number will help “fill in the gaps” and help clear things up.
Think of your destiny number as an extension of the life path number. It’s an extremely important piece of the puzzle. In other words, your life path number is like a single point of view of who you are. That is to say, you know what your purpose is, but you don’t know how things will play out when it comes to achieving your purpose. That’s where your destiny/expression number comes into the picture.
For example, if your life path number is 8 then you know that you desire wealth and success and will stop at nothing to achieve it. In addition, you are confident, charismatic, and realistic about situations. Now, when you bring your destiny number into the mix along with your life path number you learn how to go about achieving that wealth and success. In other words, your destiny number is like a “guide” to fulfilling your destiny (hence the name). You may also think of it as the expectation your elders and peers will have of you.
Your Core Numbers Work As A Team
Going back to our example of life path number 8 you probably don’t feel like you are confident or charismatic. On the other hand, if your destiny number is 2 then you are more passive, loving, and a bit shy at times. You can see where this could cause a lot of confusion but there is an explanation. The main thing to take away from this is that you will get a lot of strange combinations like this in numerology. However, understanding the basics of each number and how they can work together is how it all comes full circle. That is to say, one number can make up for the weaknesses of the other. Like the inner workings of a well-oiled and tuned machine, your core numbers will work in a similar fashion.
Another Example
Let’s take a look at another example. Suppose your life path number is still 8 but your destiny number is now 1. You will notice that 1 is also described as a strong and independent leader. To clarify, this means that you will achieve your goals with almost no help from anyone. In addition, you are likely to be one too “proud” to accept help from anyone else. As a result, you are used to doing things yourself and coming up with unique ways of solving problems. Furthermore, your drive towards money and material objects makes you a strong competitor in the world of business. However, this may also lead to struggles with depression and frustration. This could lead to negativity such as addiction and poor judgement.
It’s also likely a person may feel more connected with their destiny number than with their life path number. However, it’s mostly because it’s easier to visualize how you will actually achieve your goals as opposed to what the end goal is. For example, most who watch sports aren’t as interested in “who won” but rather “how they won”. Otherwise, no one would sit through the game and just wait until scores are posted which would be pointless. To clarify, it can take time before you fully appreciate and understand your life path number. However, your destiny number is far easier and clearer to understand. Nevertheless, being aware of what both your life path and destiny number mean can help you see the bigger picture of yourself. Also, you may find out new things about yourself that you would never have thought.
Here’s what your destiny number can reveal about your life’s purpose.
- The style and way of life you must embrace and the choices you should make in life.
- The opportunities and challenges that will present themselves and how to overcome them to become the best you can be.
- It will give you an idea about how you can get the most out of life.
- The career choices that will help to shed light on the purpose of your life path number.
- Above all, knowing what your destined to achieve in life and how.
How to Calculate Your Destiny Number
Begin by writing down your name, it’s important to write it just like it’s written on your birth certificate. Using the numerology chart below apply the number that corresponds to each letter of your name including first, middle, and last name. Keep in mind to use all the names that appear on your birth certificate. However, do not include Jr., Second, Third, etc. Leave that part out.
For example, let’s use the name Sophia Emily Miller to calculate this names destiny number. This calculation is done differently than your life path number.
SOPHIA = 1 + 6 + 7 + 8+ 9 + 1 = 32 (two digit rule) 3 + 2 = 5
EMILY = 5 + 4 + 9 + 3 + 7 = 28 (two digit rule) 2+8 = 10 (two digit rule) 1+0 = 1
MILLER = 4 + 9 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 9 = 33 (two digit rule) = 3 + 3 = 6
From here simply add all the numbers you get after breaking them down into single digits. For example from this name we ended up with 5, 1, and 6.
And now you must add and then break that number down until you get a single digit. (remember not to break down master number 11 and 22).
5 + 1 + 6 = 12 (two digit rule; break it down further) 1 + 2 = 3
Finally, we end up with a destiny/expression number of 3 for the name Sophia Emily Miller. Now, it’s time for you to calculate yours. Once you have go ahead and read below on what your destiny number means.
